2008 YOUTH ORGANIZING SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Centro Campesino has organized leadership committees in Owatonna and Northfield integrated by Latino High School students. Every year they carry out different activities to raise money for their own scholarship Fund. Twice a year they receive applications from Latino students across the state and grant several scholarships. They have raise over 15,000.00 and have awarded over 12,000.00 in scholarships so far.
On Saturday may 5 they organized a community event in Northfield to awarded six, $1000.00, scholarships to Latino students going to college. Every year our young leaders support the passage of the MNDREAM ACT a bill that would open the doors to higher education for many brilliant students across the state. You can support their effort by donating to their scholarship fund so that they can distribute more scholarships to hardworking students in our community.
