Our Youth Organizing Committee proudly announces the opening of applications for scholarships under the Youth Organizing Scholarship Fund, 2007.
Last year we decided to undertake a strong grassroots fundraising campaign to raise money for scholarships directed to Latino youth that are pursuing their dreams of higher education. Today, we proudly announce that the application is open for the first part of the scholarship to be awarded this year. We will award five $1,000.00 scholarships to students starting college or already enrolled.
We want to thank all of our allies for your investment in our fund and for your investment in our education. This would not have been possible without your contributions to the fund. We will happily invite you to our award ceremony, yet to be determined and planned by our youth organizers.
Pass the news around and encourage people to apply for these scholarships. The deadline is May 18th, 2007.
