Admissions Application Fee Waiver Request Form!!!

Fee Waivers are not just for the ACT!!!

Several of you have expressed concern about paying $25 every time you send in an admissions application. If you're applying to one school it might not be so bad. But if you're applying for more than one school it gets a little expensive. Why pay admission application fees when you don't have to?

If you qualify for free or reduced lunch or can demonstrate that paying the application fee would present financial hardship to you or your family then you may be eligible to receive a fee waiver for your admissions application. Basically, if you received fee waivers for the ACT then you would qualify for a fee waiver for your admissions applications.

However, keep in mind that not all schools offer fee waivers but most schools are willing to work with you. So be sure to ask about a fee waiver when you apply. This is what you need to do:

1. Go to your counselor and ask if they have a form or document that they use to request fee waivers for admissions applications.
2. If they do then ask them to fill one out and send it to the admissions office of the school you're applying to. If they don't, then print out the word file attached to this post named "AAFWRF."
3. Make sure all the information is filled out before you hand it to your counselor; University name and address, your name and address, etc., so that all your counselor has to do is fill out his/her information. The easier you make it for them the faster you will get your fee waiver request ready to go.
4. If you're getting more than one admission fee waiver then make sure you don't confuse them and send the request form to the wrong school.
5. After you send it to the admissions office they will take care of the rest.

If you have any problems concerning this form or if your counselors have a problem with it, just contact me and we'll figure it out.

Good Luck!
