2010 is a critical year to push for immigration reform. Congress has proved their failure to get important pieces of legislation approved. However, we cannot let their incompetence discourage us from urging for fair and just immigration reform.
This is why on March 21st, 2010 thousands of immigration reform supports will be mobilizing to Washington D.C. to tell members of congress and our President that we need immigration reform and that we need them to take action now!
Centro Campesino will be taking a bus with 51 members and allies to join this national mobilization. We have reserved a space for 10 committed allies and we are looking for allies that want to come to Washington D.C. with us. The bus will leave on Saturday march 20th and we will return Monday march 22nd.
This trip to Washington will cost us $15,000.00 to cover the cost of the bus rental and food for the 51 participants. This trip was not part of our budget and we do not have this amount. We need your support to help us make this trip a reality for our members.
If you are interested in going on this trip you need to contact us as soon as possible to reserve your spot. We are asking members and allies to contribute $100.00 to cover the cost of the trip.
For those of you that aren’t able to join us on the trip you can donate to help us sponsor others to go.
