College Visit to Hamline University 2010

The goal is simple: To increase the number of Latino students going to college and earning a college degree. Education has always been a priority for the Latino community and this program allows Latino parents and students learn more about the college application process.

The program currently serves over 100 students from communities such as Faribault, Owatonna and Austin. The program offers educational workshops such as College 101 •Financial Aid •Scholarship Applications •Career Exploration •College Applications •Financial Literacy •ACT Preparation, etc. The program is open to all Latino high school students 9-12 in Owatonna, Waseca, Austin, Faribault, Albert Lea and Northfield.

***The program is possible thanks to the contribution of Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation, Jostens Foundation and United Way of Steele County.***
